Fikies Residences

Set within the raw beauty of the Naxian landscape, the project unfolds as a composition of three autonomous residences gathered around a shared courtyard — a quiet nucleus that connects architecture, landscape and life.

Conceived as a continuous dialogue between inside and outside, the architecture gradually dissolves its boundaries. Interior spaces extend towards sheltered terraces, framed views and open-air rooms, while the courtyard becomes an intermediate world — neither entirely enclosed nor entirely exposed.

Light is treated as an architectural material. It enters through carefully positioned openings, travels across textured surfaces and transforms the spaces throughout the day. Deep shadows, unexpected perspectives and sculpted volumes create an architecture that reveals itself slowly.

The material palette is deliberately restrained. Natural textures, earthy tones and honest materials evoke a sense of permanence and familiarity, while subtle details introduce a quiet, almost imperceptible luxury — one rooted not in excess, but in simplicity, tactility and proportion.

Each residence preserves its own sense of intimacy, yet all three belong to the same architectural landscape. A sequence of solid and void, light and shadow, enclosure and openness creates moments of both privacy and connection.

More than a collection of houses, the project is conceived as a small refuge in the Cyclades — a place shaped by the sun, the wind and the rhythms of Mediterranean life.

An architecture of quiet gestures, where luxury is found in what is essential.
